ND3After a long successful career Nicole Davis decided to retire from volleyball as a player and to open a new era of her life. An incredible career as libero, not only in the United States before with SC Trojans, then with USA National team, twice Olympian and gold medal in the last 2014 World Championship in the last edition in  Italy, but also with an incredible professional career in some of the best international clubs.
“After months of consideration, I’ve decided to retire from the sport of volleyball.  There were several variables that went into my decision, most notable my health, and my desire to spend more time with my friends and family at home in the United States. I’ve missed a lot of moments with them in the last 11 years. I wouldn’t change anything I’ve done. I’ve met so many incredible people while playing overseas and on the USA Team, and I feel very fortunate to have them in my lives and as such great friends! I also know it’s a privilege to represent the USA in an Olympics, and I was lucky, I got to do it twice! I’ll miss throwing on a red-white-and-blue uniform, but will now be the biggest fan imaginable,
Volleyball is going to miss a great libero, but also a very kind person, ready to open a new different page of the book of her life.
